Learning how to diffuse anxious worry, addictive urges & depressed moods with the image of two screens
We know the quality of our life is greatly determined by how we feel on the inside. But growing up, how many of us were taught what to do when worries came into our mind? Did anyone ever talk to you about how to handle feelings of insecurity or dark moods or how to say “no” to a craving? Or on the flip side, did anyone ever show you how to cultivate a sense of well-being? If you’re like most, your internal journey has been one of trial-and-error. When feeling down or anxious you’ve followed your instincts and managed the best you could. The challenge is our internal world is filled with paradoxes and counterintuitive principles. Following our instincts, such as trying to get rid of the anxious feelings, often backfires. We end up empowering the very feeling we’re trying to diffuse.
To address this problem I have developed a user-friendly application mindfulness, which shows you what to do on the inside to de-energize potentially destructive thoughts & feelings. It’s called the Two-Screen Method®. Here is the YouTube link for the introductory video: www.youtube.com/watch
